SIOUX FALLS, S.D. –

A young Sioux Falls artist received congressional recognition Monday for his acrylic painting of Palisades Queen Rock. THE artist will have his depiction of Palisades Queen Rock hang in the U.S. Captiol.

It took 20 hours for 16-year-old Will Drzycimski to paint the iconic South Dakota scene. He started with a simple picture and then added more details like leaves to his work.

His painting was chosen over hundreds of others and will hang in the U.S. Capitol Building for the next year.
