A gold and silver mint (and Challenge Coin producer) in Federal Way, WA that owes money to customers across the country has filed for bankruptcy.

Northwest Territorial Mint filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy March 31, one day after a KING 5 report in which the owner admitted he owes money to 100 – 200 customers. But according to the bankruptcy filing, the number is 200 – 999.

The move came a month after the company and its owner, Ross B. Hansen, were each hit with multimillion-dollar jury verdicts in a defamation and invasion of privacy lawsuit brought in Nevada by a Los Angeles businessman.
