The City of Manhattan Beach Parks and Recreation Commission and the Manhattan Beach City Council hosts the second annual Salute to the Troops Picnic and Concert Sunday.
This year, Rothans said he’d personally like to pay special tribute to one of the founders of the event from the Parks and Rec Commission, Tom Allard.

This years’ Salute to the Troops took place at the Polliwog Park Amphitheater. The first 1,000 veterans and active duty military received a commemorative “Salute to the Troops” challenge coin.
